The
Willingham Center,
a
Christian activities building, was opened in
1999. This facility was named for Mr. and Mrs. Gid
Willingham who were great supporters of the Church's
Mission. The building houses a gym, half-size Olympic pool,
meeting room and kitchen, and is located next to First
United Methodist Church at 200 Carr Street. Adequate
parking and handicap
entrance
are available. The swimming pool and gymnasium are
controlled to maintain the same temperature year
round. A computer controlled video camera system is
used for security. The
facility may be rented for birthday parties or other group

The
Recreational Ministry of the First United Methodist Church
of Fulton is an outreaching, nurturing and family
strengthening service of Christian fellowship. We
promote the principles, disciplines and attitudes which are
consistent with Biblical teachings and the example of
Christ. While usage of the church recreational
facilities is directly related to edification of body, all
recreational activities are secondary to the primary
goal of enriching the soul. We dedicate our
recreational ministries to the Glory of God and to help any
of God's people to become disciples of Jesus Christ.
Activities
include: Walking, Swimming, Water Aerobics (gentle
& active), Land Aerobics, Basketball, Ping Pong,
Indoor Tennis, Karate, Volleyball, Weight Training,
Billiards, Bridge, Bingo and more. Free weights and
machines, showers and lockers are available for use.
There is also a Hydraulic Chair Lift to assist getting into
and out of the pool. Children under the age of 12 must
be accompanied by a parent or guardian, only exception is
when a child is involved with a facility sponsored
program. Memberships are available by
the month, quarter or year. Day passes are also
available: $3 for Kids 17 and under, Adults $5.
Children under 12 must have and adult with them. Courteous behavior is expected and
