What is Stephen Ministry?  It is one to one caring ministry to those going through difficult times and need someone to care, listen, and share God's love with them.  A Stephen Minister is a lay person who has been trained in how to provide distinctively Christian care.  A Stephen minister is not a counselor or therapist.  They prepare to walk beside a hurting person.  Things such as grief, loss of a spouse, unemployment, despair,  and terminal illness are just a few of the areas Stephen Ministry covers.  This is a caring and confidential ministry.  No one other than the Stephen Leader, Stephen minister and care receiver will know who is receiving care.  This ministry is for anyone needing someone to listen and care.  If you think you would like to hear more about Stephen Ministry or would like to have a Stephen minister please contact:  Marcia Tate - 270-472-1007 or Rev.
